Cana Jenkins is an acute care nurse practitioner who provides emergency treatment. Through empathy and open communication, she works to build trusting relationships with her patients. As the advanced practice supervisor for UCSF's emergency department, she leads with a deep commitment to excellence and compassion in health care.

Jenkins earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from California State University, Sacramento and her master's degree in nursing at UCSF. She serves as an associate professor at the UCSF School of Nursing, where she inspires the next generation of medical providers through education and mentorship. Driven by a passion for service, she has contributed to global relief efforts across Africa and Asia for many years, seeking to strengthen communities through care and dedication.

Outside of work, Jenkins finds joy in cooking, mountain biking, attending live music events, and caring for her farm animals. She sees connection, courage and wholeheartedness as the foundation for both health care and life.
